The Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic did not amend the verdict for a citizen convicted for storage and transportation of drugs for sale from the Republic of Moldova to Transdniestria.

Customs officers of Bendery Customs detained a citizen of Ukraine conveyed 1 tonne 200 kg of frozen beef tongues from the Republic of Moldova across the Transdniestrian border without customs control. The country of origin of goods was Brazil.

In early February based on operational information officers of department on struggle against smuggling of Tiraspol Customs detained 9 750 packages of cigarettes “Nistru”, “Leana”, “Astra” produced in the Republic of Moldova.

The Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade developed by the WCO and its Member states has become one of the basic instruments in operation of Customs Services all over the world which promotes uniformity, predictability and efficiency of customs procedures, improves Customs' ability to secure and facilitate global trade, promotes trade facilitation worldwide. The core principles of this instrument were taken into consideration while drawing up the Concept of development of Customs Service of Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic.
